Welcome to the Metalworks website!
This site is brand new, and developed to introduce the world to our brand of heavy metal rock and roll for all generations!
We could spend a lot of words telling you about why we think our band is among the best, but the proof is in the music we offer and the pictures we show!
This site also automatically plays our music for you to listen to here. To turn this feature off, click the pause button on the SoundClick widget below.
Metalworks was begun in January 1980 in the Redan neighborhood of DeKalb County, Georgia, before many of today's metalheads were born. The original lineup was:
George Baisch, lead vocals Clay Hayes, lead guitars, vocals Brett Hart, bass, keyboards Mike Hinton, drums, percussion
Our first performance was at the Christmas Dance at Shamrock High School on December 6, 1980. We recorded the event on what was state-of-the-art videotape back then. Our first outdoor concert was at the Stone Mountain Jam II on August 29, 1981; also videotaped. Check these performances out by clicking the mpeg4 players (linked to our site on MySpace) below!
